Elizabeth “EJ” Forsyth is one of Australia’s most decorated and respected beach athletes, known for her explosive speed, unwavering discipline, and fierce competitive spirit. A standout sprinter on both the track and the sand, EJ made national headlines in 2018 when she won the prestigious Australia Post Women’s Gift at the Stawell Gift — a feat that signaled her arrival among Australia’s sprinting elite.

As a proud member of Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club, EJ has dominated the beach arena with six consecutive Open Women’s Beach Flags titles at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships. She made history in 2018 as the first woman ever to win both the Open Female Flags and Sprint events in a single championship — a moment that remains one of the most iconic in surf sports.

On the international stage, EJ has proudly represented Australia in New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, and Italy, where she claimed the historic double in Beach Flags and Beach Sprints at the 2022 World Lifesaving Championships. Her performances continue to inspire athletes across Australia and beyond.

EJ is now on a determined path back to top form after injuries impacted her 2024/25 season. Known for her resilience, she’s working hard behind the scenes to return to competition stronger than ever.
