Olivia Tukia

New Zealand Representative

Olivia Tukia is a world-class lifesaving athlete whose talent, work ethic, and dedication to service make her a true standout in the sport. In 2024, Olivia claimed the title of Youth World Champion in the 50m Manikin Carry, a powerful achievement that reflects her speed, strength, and technical excellence in the pool.

Her recent selection to the New Zealand High Performance Squad places her among the country's elite, as she prepares to take on Australia's best in a series of international test matches. Olivia's rapid rise through the ranks is matched by a fierce determination to keep pushing her limits — both as an athlete and a volunteer surf lifesaver.

Though based in New Zealand, Olivia frequently travels across the Tasman to race in Australia, showcasing her commitment to competing at the highest possible level. She trains and races with the Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club and is a valued member of our community, proudly completing over 25 volunteer patrol hours each season. Olivia also continues to give back to her original home club, Piha SLSC, where she volunteers her time and contributes to the next generation of lifesavers.

Olivia’s journey reflects the heart of surf lifesaving — athletic excellence, community service, and an unwavering passion for the ocean. She is a proud representative of both New Zealand and the wider lifesaving community.

Your donation will help Olivia cover international travel, competition expenses, and equipment costs as she prepares for high-performance events while continuing her dual-club volunteer commitments.
