Rachel Eddy is a highly accomplished and respected athlete who has proudly represented Australia on the international stage for nearly a decade. With a reputation for excellence in the pool, Rachel is currently ranked the fifth fastest in the world in the 100m Manikin Tow — a fiercely technical and demanding lifesaving event. In August 2025, she will take on the world’s best once again at the World Games in Chengdu, China, showcasing the elite level she has maintained throughout her career.

Since 2016, Rachel has earned selection to an incredible 12 Australian Lifesaving Teams — a testament to her consistency, dedication, and impact within the sport. Her journey has taken her across the globe, competing in prestigious international competitions and proudly wearing the green and gold as a key member of the national team.

But Rachel’s contributions go far beyond her results. She is a passionate mentor and leader within her club, dedicating time to coaching and supporting the next generation of lifesaving athletes. She plays an especially important role in female athlete development, offering guidance, encouragement, and inspiration to young women entering pool lifesaving.

Rachel’s commitment to excellence — both in competition and in community — makes her a valued ambassador for Currumbin SLSC and Australian Lifesaving.
