Raille was elected Head of Operations in August 2022., having first attained the status of Life Membership at North Bondi for his many contributions to the Club and its members. Raille has been a member for 32 years starting out by looking after 35 nippers from the age of 5 to 13 and then again with his daughter for another 3 years. Both his children, Kiva and Yael are active members of the surf club. Raille still does patrols so that he can be with his family. His brother and son in Law are also active members of the club. Raille was IRB captain for 26 years and has trained so many drivers and crew. Raille still drives, assists the IRB captain, helps with IRB education and provides water safety to all major North Bindi events. When he’s also not fixing the outboard motors, Raille enjoys nothing more than getting out on the IRB and showing the next generation of drivers how it’s done! Raille runs the Sunday Surf Swims as well as the weekly Biathlons. The Surf club plays a large part of Raille’s life and he loves starting his days with either a run on the soft sand or joining a swim session.
